Kalamata olives are named after the city of Kalamata in Messinia, southern
Greece. They are almond-shaped, with a rich aubergine colour, smooth and
meaty in texture. They acquire a characteristic light fruity flavour and
sweetness.
The Halkidiki olive is grown exclusively in Greece in a region that is adjacent
to Mount Athos. The Halkidiki olives are meaty and full of flavor. Their big size
and proportionally small pit makes them the ideal olives for stuffing! Will be
served as appetizers or starters and of course they will bring flavor and style
to your Dry Martinis and cocktails.
